Meet Our Pastor
Dedric L. Scott Sr.
Pastor, Lighthouse UPC
Pastor Dedric L. Scott Sr. leads a growing, vibrant body of believers at Lighthouse United Pentecostal Church — reaching the lost and presenting the Gospel with excellence. He communicates the Word of God with passion and practical application, preaching truth people can live by every day.
By his side is his wife, Adama, and their three children — Demari, Dedric Jr., and Dominic. Pastor Scott is serious about the things of God, but he doesn't take himself too seriously — and he'd love to meet you at the door this Sunday.
Family is at the heart of Lighthouse — and there's room in this one for you.

What We Believe
Built on the Word of God
Our faith in plain words — and the Scripture behind every word of it, from the King James Bible.
One God
There is one God, and He has revealed Himself in Jesus Christ. We love Him with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength.
"Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD: And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might."
Deuteronomy 6:4–5 · KJV
"And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment."
Mark 12:29–30 · KJV
The New Birth
Salvation comes through repentance, baptism in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and the gift of the Holy Ghost — exactly as the apostles preached it.
"Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost."
Acts 2:38 · KJV
Holiness
We pursue peace with everyone and holiness in everyday life — not as a burden, but as the joyful fruit of a life changed by God.
"Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:"
Hebrews 12:14 · KJV
His Return
Jesus is coming again for His church — and we live ready, watching for the day we meet Him in the air and are ever with the Lord.
"For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord."
1 Thessalonians 4:16–17 · KJV
Next Steps
Ready for your next step?
Wherever you are in your walk, there's a next step — and we'll walk it with you.
Be Baptized
"Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins…" — Acts 2:38 (KJV)
We would be honored to baptize you in Jesus' name.
Receive the Holy Ghost
God still fills hearts today, just as He did on the Day of Pentecost. Come expecting — we will pray with you until you receive.
